They ran pro 1/8 mile last year and I am gald they did ! I would not want to run 1/4 mile there. not enuff shut down..
Jamie is correct it will be 1/8 mile for every class but sportsman will be 1/4 mile. That's how they ran the race last season at Kil-Kare.
It's $50 saturday but your racing in Memories of Jeff Hurst. It is Jeff's home track. We need a Mopar in the winner circle for both classes on Saturday for Jeff.

It is 50.00 for X-brands..read what is posted..they do not say what it is for us mopar racers..I think it is 20-30 more for us..It best not be 50.00 more !
that's true Jamie it does say $50 x-brand. If I remember correctly last year is was just $20.00 for Mopar same as gambler's normal gamblers race.

Don't mean to stir the pot up. There is also a line that says our entry does not include Sat night's race. Last year, as this year I had pre-entered. Last year I don't remember, nor does my wife, having to pay additional for Saturday night. I knew Jeff all the way back to when he started racing, my wife was a year ahead of him at the same school. I'm very glad this Jeff Hurst Memorial Race was able to be implemented. Kudos to the Wheatcrafts and others involved. I'm willing to pay an extra amount if needed, but would like to see definate clarification if there is and how much.

I consider Kil Kare as my home track and have seen some very fast (at the time) cars running the full 1/4 mile. I think the quickest car back then was an Altered running in the 8.00's. At Indy for the bracket finals IIRC he was the quickest there also. How the times they have changed. He always got stopped before the end of the track. This was the late 70's early 80's. We had pulled out the 318 from my Duster & put in the 340. Went past the 1st turn off after running 111 mph in the 1/4. End of the track came up a lot quicker. I don't like running 1/8 mile so I'll enter class to run 1/4 mile. I probably could change & put in my 5.13 rear gear & go deeper into Pro, but I've always been used to 1/4 mile racing ever since my dad first took me to Kil Kare about 50 years ago. But I do understand the need for that extra stopping distance.

The racing fees seem pretty steep, regular fee for saturday, plus extra fee to race saturday night with some brand x cars, and then another fee for sunday, Going to pass on this one, see you guys at norwalk and monster mopar
The way I read it, the only fee for Sat. is if you want to race in the box/no box race.

Ok I send a e-mail off asking. this is the reply.
As long as you have a Sunday tech card Mopars pay $45 BOX and $35 NO BOX you will come to the event trailer and purchase a sticker. The X brands pay $65 Box and $50 No Box at the gate. So if you race in pro 70.00 for sun and extra 35.00 for sat.
Thanks for the clarification and your efforts to find out. We'll be racing Sat & Sun. Going to spot and beat some brand x cars on Sat.
