Those are pretty long to get peak torque, should be
in the 16"-18" total length in most cases... depends
on how they are attached but most of the time I dont
put a hanger on them... if you have a long straight
section on the primary before the collector then thats
a long moment arm and then yes I would put a hanger on

Yes its a multiples thing... 18,36,72 and so on...
with what you have there, yes I would run a hanger...
