Starting a 451 street motor build and am looking for suggestions of who's hyd roller lifters to use? I see problems with comp cams lifter " sticking" so I think I'll pass on them?
Looking at these...? any input would be great!
Thanks ! Brad

I'd go with the Hughes, I'm sure they are good, plus there 200.00 cheaper. If there was only a 50.00 difference i'd say flip a coin, I'm sure the Scorpions are good also.

I can't tell you from experience, but I did have another builder tell me that Lunati has the best hydraulic roller on the market.
He said thet had a thicker main body that did not flex and cause issues like other brands.
If I could remember which builder told me this I would put you in contact with him,but I can't remember who it was right now,but he swore by them.

Thanks, I'll look into Lunati, that's most likely were I'll be getting a cam ground from. I didn't see that they had roller Hyd lifters for a B/RB ?

Call Bullet cams and ask Tim if Morel makes hyd rollers for mopars. Let him take care of the cam as well.

First I've heard of problems with the Comp retro hyd roller lifters. What are the issues?

I bought the scorpion lifters. Nice lifters but haven't put the motor together yet.

I've found a few posts like this . On here and other sites too? In all "fairness" to Comp .... I have no idea what spring pressures and RPM people are subjecting them to? Just do a search on here for Comp roller lifters. You will find quite a few pages of issues?
Here are a few to get you started?
