the thing is it took me about 4 or 5 employee's to go thru and countless phone calls to get the facts straight this far out of them. it is still ongoing, they are supposed to call me back today. the manager i have an ear on now is the first one being honest and upfront to me so that encougaging at least. they couldn't even admit the parts were wrong for a long time to me.. they know i have them cold.. they just don't know what to do with me

all i want to know is how was the fit????
i have a pair that will need alot of work make to fit. i bought them a while ago when they first hit the market amd told me they did revise the part but did not tell me what was wrong with it or what was revised. i don't expect or am i asking for carp back from amd it was a long while ago when i got them i don't even remember from where i got them from.
my dillema is do i go buy another pair and hope this new revised part will fit . or do i take a to them and be happy i'm not starting with a flat piece of metal
so what luck have people had out there with this particular part??
I just got a pair a month ago and have installed the left. The fit was perfect. Even the alignment holes on the flange lined up. I also used AMD outer rockers which also were a perfect fit. I've used their rockers before and have never had an Issue

the ones they sell today are correct its if you buy someone's old stock or bought them more then a year ago you just might have the wrong parts like i got! i really anticipate our next conversation now another mistake on thier part is they gave me some time to think about it all... this guy will need therapy by the time i'm done talking..

Congrats, We all need to hold all vendors "feet to the fire" to make QUALITY reproduction parts and not settle for sorta fits parts.

Well,Fly,I'm glad to hear you got your issue worked out with AMD. I will say to anyone, just try tooling up the number of parts that AMD has in the amount of time they have done it in,and let me know how you make out. To take the risks and lay their tooling money on the line, during a recession, and forge forward making a wide array of parts is no small feat. AMD has done a huge service to our hobby, and cars that would have been cut up for parts can now be saved because of the work AMD has done to make quality OEM style parts for us. Was there some parts that needed further work, sure there were a few,but most peices they make are far superior to what was available before AMD came to be. I have personally done test fitting for AMD,and no company has gone farther to insure the best possible fit.

I would rather wait 6 months and get the part once it fits right than to buy junk that doesn't fit. Especially on parts like this that take a lot of time and effort to install and you're not going to replace it again easily. If it isn't right, either don't make it or "make it right" before selling it!!! These aren't something that you remove 2 bolts and replace it. Don't get me wrong, AMD has done a lot to get us the parts we need, but why do 90% of your parts right and let 10% be crappy??? They should have stepped up right from day 1 and told him to send the parts back and they would replace them with new ones! That would have been good customer service. I also sell/install AMD parts, and I don't want my customers coming back to me with this kind of fitment issues!!! It gives them a bad name, and it also impacts my business! This is not about bashing AMD, it applies to everyone. Make it right, or don't make it at all.

i couldn't say it any better getting approval, sending pics were all jerking my chain and they did it to me for months...
they knew BEFORE i even called them there was an issue with the part and they jerked me around bad!
the lame excuse was lack of communication inside the company but you mean to tell me if there is any issue with any of the parts the install center isn't aware of it?
the only reason i got credit is because i was very persistant and when someone started feeding me a line of bull i moved right on to the next employee with no hesitation.
and the most telling of all is
why was i on moparts asking questions about a product a certian company makes and installs itself after talking to said company about that product????

I'm grateful for all that AMD has done so far. I'm glad they finally stepped up and resolved your problem... My wishlist from AMD 1) 71-74 Dodge Charger Bulge hood 2) 73-74 Dodge Charger Full OEM Quarter panels 3) 70 Dodge Coronet Full OEM Quarter panels... From the looks of their catalog, They are building just about everything else but these! Just my luck...

...also, have you seen how well the GOODMARK "Charger" wheelhouses fit contour... and they have been made aware of the problem for at least 6 years...
