At the min et I mean.

What do you think?

Using formula's 1320/mph = min. et
or 660/mph = min. et

Not even close....two tenths off on both 1/4 and 1/8 using those formulas.

Mine always ET's better than the MPH indicates. But I'm pushing 38.5 square feet down the track,(a sheet of plywood is more aerodynamic than the truck though). Dave

Never used that formula before interesting that it shows exactly what I expected.

My last engine just would not ET. Well .4 off in the 1/8 and .3-.4 off in the quarter. I could just feel it in the car it just was not accellerating in the 330. Wheelspeed was the key. Get a moderate amount of wheel speed and maintain it until the converter locked up. This prooved the best results. Still could not do anything about the shift no matter how hard I screamed low gear.

Still amazed such a simple formula would net results.

I ran dead on that number with the old engine in good air, we'll see if we can get this one dialed in

When I first saw that formula, I couldnt see how it workes.
To this day I am still puzzled.
Checking it against the record holders it is so close.
How it works I sure would like to know.

Cool formula, I'm about a tenth off, which I'm happy about with a street car that isn't really optimized for the track.

that is the question.

We even break it down to the 330 ft mark on occasion to see if anything could be there.
Dont know if it is accurate tho being that i cant figure out how formula works at 1320.

Yep, pretty much right in line with how my car runs to the 1/4.

I actually do better in the 1/4 but at the 1/8 I am off by .3 or more

Well...

Formula says I should run an 8.8 while I run 8.98, only in my 6th run ever in the car.
Does this apply to sissymatic and stickshift or what?

Shooting for 8.8's next month.

I'm off a tenth and a half. Probably in the first 10 1/2 feet - trying to move a 4000+ lb turd from a dead stop.
