take it easy for a couple passes. If psossible drive it around the pits a little first, make sure the brakes work and no leaks. Do a couple 60 foot or longer shots, make sure the car is leaving straight and the suspension is somewhat working. If you feel comfortable stay in it longer. DO NOT hesitate to get out of it and coast off the track. Its a new car and there is no reason to rush into making full passes. Be safe and have some fun, enjoy the fruit of all your labor and $$$$$$ spent. Good Luck

A lot depends on your experience level behind the wheel. If you are a first timer in an 8 second car, and have never gone faster than 10.0 in a good handling car, might be best to start with a moderate launch to get a feel for it. If you have handled some cars that like to head for one guard rail or the other, you would have the feel for when to lift and can be more aggressive. The main thing is was the car scaled and set up by someone experienced with four links? A proper starting point from someone that knows their way around a fast door car is essential. Knowing the difference of what made the car move left or right, was it the preload or wheeliebars? Those are some of the questions that may arise. My car is extremely sensitive to wheeliebar height. I have it staggered just a touch to compensate for torque roll. Most will need this. Most will need some right rear preload as well.

Ask the track people for a single pass... if you do a light hit it doesnt show if you need more or less pre-load(due to torque)... once you start hitting it pretty good the torque will tell you what you need to do... take a easy pass to see if you have any bad vibrations and everything is working....... have FUN

Maybe let one of these guys make the first few runs with the car to get it sorted out....they will be better able to feel what the car needs...believe me there's no shame in that....best of luck

There is no such thing as the "MAFIA".
Good luck with the new car.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is become so familiar with the car you can do anything blindfolded, instantly. Chute? Fuel shutoff? Fire extinguisher? Fast exit blindfolded? How about your driving routine? All the way from burnout, to stage, to lift and pull the chute. It doesn't hurt a bit to sit in the car for many, many run through s practicing making a run. This will make you look like a pro come test day. Do you have your spots for your gloves, helmet, neck collar? The benefits of having all this figured out are big. Have a great time and be ready to write a long after action report, looking forward to it!
