It's your car, do as you would like with it.
I do have to say that I like the way the chrome trim and the silver tail light panel of the Satellite contrast with the black paint. The dechromed Road Runner looks a little plain IMHO.
Likely once it's a Road Runner clone it will never be a Satellite again.
Either way it will look really good, and it's your car, your money, your time...

I remember going to his house a seeing the f6 green 69 daytona under a tarp, that's something I'll never forget.
