Well!! Can't ask for a much better start to the season then this! Last weekend we pulled a third place out or 10 and this weekend we went to East Angus pull. This is the pull the champion of our club last year puts on! He is a BIG GM guy running a 650ci with Profiller heads and around 1300hp. Well the Dodge boys put a pretty big frown on all the GM fans faces! We pulled first and kept our pull (first puller has the choice to keep their pull or try again last) Our rule of thumb is ALWAYS take your first pull unless something went WRONG. The few Dodge fans had a pretty good cheer last night that's for sure!! We won with 287 feet, next closest was 283 then the rest were between 275-280. 9 trucks were there total. Hopefully I can find someone who filmed the pull!! Our next pull is this weekend coming! Lets hope everything keeps rolling with good luck

Thank you all for the kind words! My Son and I put almost TOO many hours into this truck/engine. So when it pays off like so far it feels extra good! Everything on the truck has been built by us over the years.
Actually the only part I do not like working on is the transmission! we had a place in Ontario Canada built it for us. Called Fireball. It is a modified 727. We do not shift. It pulls out in 3rd (direct). The torque is a 10 inch which stahls at 3500. But it starts to grab lower then that. we have it stahling that low because from what we know is the lower it starts to grab, the less it will slip at the other end. We also run a 6:88 gear ratio in the rear ends which allows the trans to spin freely and all the pressure be put on the gears in the differentials.
Knock on wood but we have never had a problem with our trans. Rule number one.... DON'T SHIFT!

Mac56 was nice enough to hunt a video down on the net. Must be some kid filming it with his Ipod Nano. Either way thanks Mark for finding it! Quality isn't great but still better then nothing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NMTsmgHlY0Not all the trucks seem to be there but the 4x4's start at the 2 min mark. Truck ran at 7200RPM this run. Not as high as usual but I didn't have a gear to get it to turn its usual 7800-8000
