I tried the blue Moroso gaskets and I thought it was going to be the end of the problems. They lasted 1 day and then started to completely delaminate from the steel core. I sent them back as suggested and got told I had a fuel dilution problem and it killed the polymer. What the F ?

I said just keep the gaskets , keep the money ,weak excuse, I will get this sorted out one day. So far a homemade set are hanging in there made from some old steam gasket paper.

In my opinion, O Rings are the ONLY way to go on an aftermarket head with cast covers..........

I have a set of superperformance gaskets, but I was afraid to use because of the thickness, was afraid they would make the rockers hit the valve covers.I have Indy 440-1 heads and Indy valve covers, anybody tried this?

Indy's valve cover gasket is within .010" of the thickness.
I have personally used them on -1's with other covers and no issues.

Currently being used on all Indy BB heads, B1BS, B1, E-Brock Victor, E-Brock RPM, Stage 6. Off the top of my head.

Just so you have an idea what it looks like Dartman928

What's the thickness of those??

They are .050" Chris

Greg

It seems that .050 isn't very thick, I guess if it does the job it's enough.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

.050" is good for sealing cast valve covers but might not be thick enough if you have stamped steel covers.

Absolutely right Dan

This particular gasket will NOT seal on a OEM unmachined gasket rail or with Stamped Steel valve covers!

My belief the material feels so much thinner than the standard .060" thick cheap paper gaskets others use because of the high rubber content and excellent flexability of our premium material. Coupled with the Stick Resistant coating.

When these are in your hands there is no doubt they feel VERY different than what most are accustomed to using.

Thanks for ALL the great replies!
Greg
