They will run better, BUT you better be ready to tinker with them more & not get frustrated when one acts up, remember its "double trouble", I love TR set-ups, they run stronger on the big end but still give good torque down low as long as you size the carbs right for the whole combo, you can exspect as much as .2 & 2 is set up right IMO, but maybe only .1 & 1 if your single carb is optimal for what you have.

I tried to answer your pm but it says you`re not accepting em. I`m definately no t-ram expert but see many haulin ass w/em so as stated they do work less for some and better for others. I`m considering one but wouldn`t even try to tune em w/out a wide band which I have and hope you do to.

Tunnel-Ram That has been Mopars weakness since the 70's intakes. In the mid 80's on the dyno mine picked up 31 HP with the tunnel-ram over the M1. I have been running them ever since. If you want to run "Faster" the Tunnel-Ram is the way to go. Don't buy into that O'll Wives Tale, the tunnel-rams are trouble free.

I have one for sale in the race parts section, it was to big for 500 cubes but you have enough. Sure looked cool, hated to take it off but I wanna go bracket racing.

Tunnel Ram with a alchy injection is probably the way to go for the lease amount of problems But you will see i'm sure 25-30 hp going to the tunnel if you get it set up right for your combo

did someone say "tunnel ram"? i think most of the guys that says "no" are just afraid of them. they do make a lot of power, and if i had a 572 i wouldn't think of anything else, except maybe efi

My 527 motor pickup 30 HP going from a Indy 440-3 intake and a Holley 9375HP to a Indy tunnel ram with the 4500 top and two early # 9375 non HP 1050 carbs I have several other tunnel ram intakes and carb. set up that I'm going to test and run on other motors Mopars engines love air, the more the better is what I have found

I tried to send you an e-mail where you told me to reach ya at but it didn`t go through. Is there a reason why you can`t get pm`s on here? Sure would be easier.

Don't believe the nay sayers, tunnel rams are awesome. I put an M1 TR on my W5 363 cube small block with 2 Demon 750 TR carbs and picked up .30 in the quarter over the single carb M1 and a 950 Demon. Tinkering was absolutely minimal, went from .028 squirters to .035 then went up one jet size all around at a time. Ended up going from 77's to 79's. Throttle response is awesome and leaves harder than ever now even off the foot brake. Even the driveability around the pits is excellent.

I kicked the idea around for a long time before doing it, what pushed me over was talking to several guys running them that told me the consistency with a TR is better than with a single carb and it is.

I have a M1 for standard heads, and will be using it eventually. TR can be deadly as a bracket induction. If it's good enough for Scotty R, it's good enough for us mere mortals.

I've had a Weiand TR on my Dart since I built it. In fact I had it on the same engine I had in a Challenger back in the late 80's. I've had Carter Max Wedge carbs, Holley 600's, Holley 750 (vac. sec.)'s., and now Holley 660 center squirters. Just in the last few weeks I have really started to work out the 660's. It is really starting to work now. In fact I dropped my fuel pressure to about 6 lbs. and they run better now.

Yes. It wasn't pretty. The first I had it to the track I had the 750's on it. Just fell on it's face off the line. My 60's were in the 2.20 range. Ran like 12.73 @ 114 IIRC. Last time I had the 660's on it. Still fell on it's face. Best time was a 12.50 @ 90. I hit the brakes (no longer time trials). Best speed was 117 or 18 don't remember. But since then I've rejetted the carb, worked on the accellerator pump, adjusted my fuel pressure, etc. So I was supposed to go to Maple Grove today, but that didn't happen. I need to hit a test and tune day before going out and having to race.

On my old car with a 451 low deck I ran an M1 single plane with a 1050 Dominator, it ran 10 flat with a best of 9.96 in good air.
I switched to an M1 low deck Tunnel Ram and 2 750 Quickfuel double pumpers and it immediately ran consistant 9.90's in any air with a best of 9.89.
It ran better on the street, strip, and down the track, even the 60 foot was slightly better, footbraking to a 1.36.
I never even had to adjust the idle on those carbs, rock solid.
