I am near 4500lbs(maybe more) and have been running a TCI(I know)streetfighter trans for 20k miles with 550+ ft lbs with anywhere from 3.55-4.10 gears(3.73 now) and have had no problems.
Maybe I got a good one.

So who won between you and the black RR?Looks like he was chasing you down..............

You will be back and flogging it in no time.

I won. 11.93 to his 12.52 Probably fall before I can get it done. We go on vacation Friday for 2.5 weeks then another vacation at the end of Aug. I'll drop the pan later today if I get a few minutes.

You had the advantage out of the "hole". Good hook + Strong low and midrange torque + Big Cubes/Six Pack induction = low ets/high mph. That 68' Bird had great midrange but not enough oats to leave out of the "hole" with you. BTW did the
Chally spin a bit leaving the line? (Racer 007 -3rd clip)

Actually I spun a little and came out soft because I have stock axles, I think I had a better light .060. The Challey is an SRT-8 With a blower. He's a freind of mine, He can't get it hooked and he had to add 500 rpm to the rev limiter. He had it at 6200 and w/ the blower it makes power way up in the rpms. Once I get a trans and some Mosers I'm going to load the convert some, dead stomp it and try 6500.

You did have a decent light. The Challey probably
needs a lower launch rpm OR better traction for the launch rpm. Might want to bring the boost in sooner by about 1500rpms (lower), it may make a difference. With those Mosers in the diff. you won't have a problem. And your launch rpm, trial and error, just "give" the car what it wants or likes. Good luck, man!! Your Charger IS a hard-running Charger!! Hey, make another youtube vid with the final results!

Great to hear you got it out to the track. 11-second street cars are way cool. I hope to be one soon! Sorry to hear about the tranny trouble. A well built 727 should stand up to this sort of performance in nearly stock trim, So I wouldn't think you should have to spend too much to fix it.

1.72 sounds about right for a big street car running 11.96.

Glad to hear you made it to the track and ran 11's right away. Bummer about your trans. Seems like your car likes to break a few things. First the eng and now this. Well at least you will have all fresh parts in it. Just kidding as I know thats a bummer. I hope I can get a few passes on my new eng before I break anything. I will be worried about my 8-3/4. Ron

Sounds like a busted tailshaft, just behind the mount on a 727. You probably have a driveshaft imbalance that is only noticable at high (1-1) shaft RPM.

I had that happen about 5-6 yrs ago, wound up duct taping it around the crack and driving it home 80 miles!
