Ok...I have ran head long into what may be an issue. Building a 400 and due to space issues in my 68 Dart and 2" primary headers I decided that I needed a much smaller starter. Got the final motor build ready to go in, got the clutch assembly in along with the Lakewood bellhousing and went to mount up my Powermaster starter...and it would not bolt up.
Got on the phone with both Lakewood and PowerMaster looking for an answer as to why the starter bracket would not line up with any of the holes in the bellhousing. PowerMaster sent out another starter with a fixed bracket to cure the issue. Again its a no go..
What starters are being used with this combination of a low deck,Lakewood and mini starter..
Thanks
Rick
