I can watch the IAT with my handheld OBDII tool, and would be interesting I guess to compare to a car with just a 'normal' underhood air filter.

Do you think it gives you more power? I was thinking, if I ever get to doing a 6.1L swap if I could do a similar thing with my Dart but separate it into two different air filter boxes. This was the kind of air intake modified from a LS air intake:
