Well, my dad and I have been trying to pull the bottom shaft out but with no luck. We have been just trying to use our hands to pull it apart but won"t budge. Even tried putting column on ground standing on steering wheel and pulling up on it but it won't move. I was wondering how do I get it apart again up near the steering column where the wires and turn signal/key goes in? Been few years how I took it apart and can't remember, but sounds like I don't really need to take that apart again to fix this problem but would still like to know? Anyone?
