I'm looking to buy a "new crate" big cube 572 or so Hemi for my '68 Charger. Looking for input on new Mopar motors, the good and bad? Also thinking maybe Indy stuff.
Where to buy, what to expect, what to watch for or be aware of......
All ideas/stories/thoughts will be appreciated.
I'm just starting this project after deciding another build of my 440 nitrous motor would be fun but why not since the car is getting painted finally to try a new combo. The shop class paint is finally going away :-)
Mopar or Indy's 572ci 700+ plus hp stuff. They ain't cheap but it's cheaper than a real Hemi for sure. My Car has been pretty much track only, so while the '68 Dart with a pump gas 775 horsepower 572" Indy wedge I came across last fall that started this idea in me was a "street car", I was thinking wow can I have the same?
I ain't living at 5000 feet altitude anymore so where there is air there is horsepower as they say.
Looking for starting places and ideas. My car is set up for the power, what can I expect spending high teens for a new Hemi?
I think I have a pretty good idea of where Im gonna wind up, but maybe somebody out there has been down this road and can steer me a lil closer to where I wanna be.
Thanks Moparts
