I asked this same question a year or two ago and one guy told me he would pick up cans on the side of the road to raise money for TTIs before he bought another set of cheapies... that always stuck in my head as being funny and probably true.

So I turned down a free pair of Hooker headers and saved and bought a set of TTIs and they are awesome. They were worth the wait and price. They went right in, have some huge flanges, I didn't have to jack up the motor or ding anything to get them in, and I'm running my stock starter. The only thing that ever scrapes are the collector flanges but my car sits pretty low.
