Ok this is an odd one. I put a stock 4-v intake on my '75 truck. I'm going to run an Edelbrock 600 CFM carb with no spacer. It cleared on a 400 with an EGR blockoff plate but wouldnt clear the EGR valve on the smallblock.

Can I lop the top off the valve and have a makeshift blockoff plate? Or, will I simply need to find a factory blockoff plate?

I'm in need of getting this thing on the road because its my only mode of transportation right now.
