Lopey idle in a 440, smoother than an Isky Mega 280 but cleaner and more forgiving than the MP .484" and the Lunati Bracketmaster. I liked the older version .471/.474"- 108LSA "Street HEMI", but they updated it in the early '80s for better driveability. It is somewhat smoother, but probably makes the same average power or more. We used the newer grind you are speaking of in a bone stock (save for HEMI valvesprings and fresh valve job, rings and bearings), '71 440 and ran mid 12s at 110mph with a Perf. RPM intake, 750 Edelbrock carb and 1 3/4" headers with a 3.91 gear in a 3700lb '67 Coronet. Shifted at aprox. 5400rpm but ran the same numbers shifting at 5600. Very consistent and repeatable and dead-nuts reliable. RB
