WHERE'S THE ICE CREAM?
It had a fire sale!

Summit Motorsports Park has long been nationally famous for its $1 a pound ice cream. Huge national events, record breaking crowds, a beautiful facility and what do the fans talk about? The $1 ice cream of course! Even the TV announcers for the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals spent a good part of the day discussing the unbelievably popular culinary item. Well, there is a problem! A couple of weeks ago the main concession stand on the pit side of the track caught fire and was totally destroyed. Today it’s an empty concrete pad waiting for the builders. Forget the hot dogs, the hamburgers and fries. They are easily served out of concession trailers for the time being. The Ice Cream stand was melted to the ground and that’s almost a national disaster.

Fear not kids both young and old, all is not lost. The ice cream delicacy has just been relocated. For the time being the $1 a pound ice cream will be served out of a space on the Summit Side of the track. If you are standing in the pits you just don’t realize how lucky you are. For now you get a pound of ice cream, your daily supply of carbs and calories and an exercise program all for the same price. Here’s your friendly Summit advisory: If you walked over from the pit side and are planning on taking a dozen or so containers back with you bring along some straws to drink your dessert when you finally make it back to the car.

This situation should correct itself within a vey short time. In the meantime grab your kid’s bib for the trip.
