I know you shift 1-2-3-4, lol. I guess I didnt word it right. My question is how can you reverse the 3-4 rod on an E body so I can shift in a normal pattern because it doesnt seem possible with out some sort of modification. Also there will be no towing in my Cuda.

Thanks,

Matt

You don not need to reverse the shifter rod, just rotate the 3-4 lever on the side of the trans 180*- make sure it's pointing downward.

You may need to add additional length to the 3-4 shifter rod after you rotate the lever. If after rotating the lever the rod is now too short and there is not enough length to allow for safe operation, you'll need a longer shifter rod. I don't know the ins and outs of E-bodies, but you may need a different 3-4 shifter rod entriely if there is crossmember interference with the new lever position.

Surely someone here has an E-body with the O.D. A-833.
