This car we took out and put it thru some pretty good street racing scenarios I used to do in my past. I used to do things and stunts to Mopars back in the mid 70's that I should not be here right now.Yes Jesus Loves me! I am a true Mopar Die Hard and have been since 1974. This car is truly a one of a kind that will not be duplicated. It has monstrous brute torque and horse power at command thanks to the Late Great Ramcharger Dean Nicopolis. It sticks in the corners and handles better than any Ferrari or high end European super cars. John Buscema at XV Motorsports really did his homework on his suspension and brake systems. I think he has the best out there for our cars. This is the only car built with his suspension that we used the old style Hemi not the newer style. Everything was tight but worked well with just some minor tweaking and modifactions. Kudos to John and the guys at XV Motorsports. We took this car out late at about 2am on the freeways 45 minutes west of my shop and this car got up to 150 Mph fast and it stuck like glue with a lot more throttle and motor left. Stopping was no problem with six piston calipers. Those G Force tires do work awesome too. This is all on pump gas. The car has it's own unique deep sound thru the tips that leaves you with goose bumps and the hair on your neck stand out. Dean did a lot of porting on the heads and a lot of masagging all thru the block and motor and you can tell he put his heart and soul into every Hemi he ever built. I had the pleasure to have him build me the last two bad azz Hemis he ever did before he became to Ill with cancer. Both are going to be with this car. The back up motor is a even bigger 572 Hemi pushing 950 to a 1000 H.P. on pump gas. I cannot imagine this car with that one in it. I hope everyone enjoys this thread as much as I did building it. This whole car was my idea and my insight from start to finish. The wheels to the custom little touches were all mine. This was a unique car even when it was new.I guess it was destined to be a Super Challenger since sept 1970. It sure is a lot more fun when you deal with quality guys and the top craftsman in their fields where headaches can arise in these areas. This car was done far less than you would've imagined. The guy I built this car for
Mr. Thomas Bengtsson who is truly a super guy and I appreciate people like him. He has some really trick cars. A 55' Chevy by Boyd's and others out in California etc. He told me when he came here to see the car for the first time he was very nervous about how it was going to turn out. It was done last May and when he walked into my shop right off the plane that it took his breath away. He told me it was the most beautiful car he had ever seen. He said the quality, craftsmanship and finish were better than his other cars by far. Chip Foose who?(LMAO) That made me feel real good. I have to say that over owning a ton of rare factory Mopar's, Hemi's,
Super Stock cars, Some real rare. This one I really loved and hated to see it go.That is rare for me. It is in Sweden now.It will be debuted in April 2011 at some big car show over there and I am flying out to be there with it. That is rare for me. Again in closing I would like to thank all those involved with me on this car Especially the Late Great Dean Nicopolis and his Family for building the heart of this beast. Moparts members I bought things from. Roseville CP., Mancini Racing(Dean). B/E A parts.XV Motorsports. My Good friend Jim Ellsworth. Brad Rutkowski for the awesome paint.Greg Dutton for the body work. Ramon Oudeh from Top Notch interiors. And so on.I will gladly answer any qustions or send photos if any one wishes to. Or if you need any help with this kind of build.
Sincerely,
Dean ( Yes that is me in this pick)
