I tend to agree with RR there. Probably wouldn't hurt to pull the top and clean out the needle/seat and passageways to them. A number of years ago, I bought a used Ebrock 600 off Ebay. The clown thought it was a good idea to sandblast it to "clean it up".
I spent some time cleaning it once I got it. Running it now on my Cuda.
