Did a 71 challenger 383 convertible get this decal

I'd say it depends on if the car was a 2 barrel or 4 barrel.

The 1971 Dodge dealership brochure that I have shows that whether the car is a Scat Pack or not is based on engine. Yes, those engines are standard on the cars in Barry's brochure, so those cars would all be Scat Pack cars, but my brochure also says that these engines are optional in certain other cars. The whole section is highlighted in yellow. The engine's listed are 340-4, 383-4, 440-4, 440-6, 426-8. The 1970 Dodge dealership brochure lists the same engines as being Scat Pack cars. I believe that the 340-6 engine while not listed in either source, is also a Scat Pack engine.

The A66 340-4 cars in 1970 are not R/Ts, but they ARE Scat Pack cars. The T/As in 1970 are not R/Ts, but they are Scat Pack cars. I have also heard of 340-4 1971 convertibles with the Scat Pack Bees.

I suggest that if it is a 383-4 barrel car, then you should have the Scat Pack Bees. Are your windows original? Any traces of original bee's? I've heard of R/T cars that did not receive the bee's. Mistakes are not unheard of.

Galen's white book shows only 167 383-4 1971 convertible Challengers were made. (no convertibles were R/Ts in 1971.)
