those shifters were before hurst changed the reverse lever so the alignment hole went thru it also and you could just stick a 1/4" steel rod thru them all .



Thats how I adjusted mine. Used a 1/4" drill bit.



but did you have a shifter that had the hole in the reverse lever also ?
