Hey guys, I'm hoping some of you engine pro's can help me out with this one. I'm building out a stock 383 from my '69 Road Runner and I am about to have the heads rebuilt. Is it worth spending the extra cash for dual springs vs the single? My current springs are too weak for my new cam so they need replaced either way. The cam going into it is a mild street performance cam, but still allows you to stay with stock set up. Comp Cams recommends two options for springs, one single and the other dual. I've heard dual springs last longer and give better performance at higher RPM's, but my car is going to be a street/show car anyway so I'm not sure if its worth it. It would save me about $100-$250 if I went single because they are less expensinve and the heads would require no additional machining. I'd love to know what you guys think. Thanks!
