May or may not be rear band apply in 1st, but looking at your low/rev drum, it looks like you don't have a clean release during the 1-2 shift or some abuse. The output shaft is stock; the aftermarket 300M steel shafts do not have a speedo gear provision. The kevlar low/rev band with grooves is normal. Depending upon line pressure, alot of builders prefer the solid backed kickdown band with red lining. The flex band anchors, which are spot welded, can break with high line pressure.
