5 & 7 are right next to each other in firing order in the cap and on the engine. Very easy to mix those 2 wires up without noticing it. At an idle the miss when this happens is sometimes barely noticeable due to the closeness of the firing in the firing sequence, but under a slight load condition or slight pull the miss becomes very noticeable and can cause backfiring under load.


Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!
