i dont want to steer you wrong, but i'm pretty sure your 383 is internally balanced, so there would be no balance weights welded on that converter. your cast crank 440 is externally balanced.it's converter had weights on it.i know b & m has a flexplate(offset balance) to use your neutral balanced converter. hope someone chimes in to confirm.
