Oh boy here's where I get shot down in flames . I run a T400 as its a big part of what I do for a living. Its not a high powered test platform but I can play with new ideas, ratio's and lightweight components that I make for them. I have a mount made for the 727 and it may get introduced to the car one day , we'll see.
I also had to ditch the 8 3/4 after smashing it 3 times and I took a year off and built a sheet metal 9". It has been flawless and the car actually picked up 1 mph over the 8 3/4 . I thought by design the 9" would have more drag due to pinion height but it did not. Both gear sets were REM ISF treated so friction was limited with that process.
