Thanks for the info Poorboy do you know what year for the Dakota? I want to be able to run a 360 and automatic transmission.

The pre 91 Dakotas have the 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern wheels, the 91-95 (or 96) have the 6 bolt wheels, but you can swap out the rotors to convert to the 5 bolt wheels, newer then 95 (or 96) also have the 6 bolt wheels, but changing over to the 5 bolt requires more things to be changed. Any of the Dakota frames will work, but if you use the entire Dakota frame, most have to be adjusted for length. You can mount a 360 & auto (or most big blocks, check the truck section of Moparts for more info) on any Dakota frame, and other then length, you can pretty much use the Dakota frame as removed from under the truck.

There are 3 different wheel base length of Dakots frames, standard cab, short box, standard cab 8' box and extended cab short box, not sure what length frame they put under the newer quad cab trucks. Clips and frames from Dakota's have been covered here before, look around. Gene
