Yes.
Is it possible an R/T or two slipped out with it? Sure.
To test it, look for chips or sand through it somewhere. The blackout on the tail panel was applied first, then masked off & the body color shot. So, if you find body color under the black, the black was added later.
Or more likely incorrectly restored as many cars were over the years.
