One thing to keep in mind is that in stock form 440s, both Magnums and Six Paks, were pretty mild engines. The Hemi was expected to take care of the more radical BBCs, like ZL-1s, LS6s and L88s. So it's pretty cool that a 10:1, hydraulic cammed 440 could often hang with an 11:1 solid cammed, rectangular port Rat motor.
