This is a state by state issue; however, the laws are not the problem it the folks enforcing them that don't know. North Carolina has in recent months made some real changes to the laws to make it easier on race teams coming into and racing in our state, Home of NASCAR, Z-Max and some major drag racing teams. I would check the web site; however, unless you are driving a tractor trailer with a pretty large trailer you should have not have to stop at weigh stations and should have no problem. If that was the case, the stations on I-85 would be backed up for miles every week-end.
