Although people do it, that would be the inproper way of installing it then. - Power from a fused circuit
- flip switch to power the circuit (not everyone does this part)
- momentary switch (normally open in series) to engage line lock.
I don't think I have a current rule book but I believe it states you have to use a momentary switch as well.
