I did the break in last summer and went with new oil this spring. I fought a problem with the car running way to rich and after about 100 miles finally got that corrected and then decided to change oil just incase and that is when I found the oil to be very black. As I said I get no smoking out the back, car starts and runs great and oil seems to be fine now with about fifty miles on it and will keep a close eye on it. I was just wondering if there was anything other than gas that may have caused the black. I checked the oil with fresh and it seems about the same thickness so I don't think it is very diluted. Would it take much gas to turn the oil black?
