My niece is by herself 1100 miles away so I am trying to help her by cell phone.

On a model year 2000 Chrysler Town and Country 3.3L minivan,
my niece has found the ABS trouble light lit on the top of the dashboard.

Can the trick with the ignition key
....on-off-on-off-leave on...
be used to get a trouble code for ABS,
or does that only show any
OBD-II codes in the PCM's memory?

I just tried this on a nearby 2003 3.3L Town and Country minivan,
and in the odometer digital readout
'donE' came up on the display.

On a model year 2000 3.3L Town and Country minivan will the code also show up in the digital odometer display,
or will the Engine Trouble light blink out the code?

This minivan has about 74,000 miles on the odometer.
Brakes seem to be working fine with no fade.

Is it possible that the ABS light is on simply because it is time for a brake fluid change, or some other routine maintenance requirement?

To the best of my knowledge, this vehicle was last at a Chrysler dealership about 1500 miles ago to have the driver's side power window fixed, and about 5,000 miles prior to that it had a transmission service where they recorded the Clutch Volume Indexes out of the PCM memory for me to put in the record.

Any help appreciated.
