I've recently learned that some late '80s early '90s half ton trucks had provisions for the late model hyd. clutch setup, AND the 833 bolt pattern. Cutting a small hole for the crank pickup sensor would be cake. The only problem is finding one.

What about the NP A535 bellhousing used in '92 dakotas? The 535 (or NV2500) also uses a 23 spline input shaft, which doesnt really matter anyhow, but it looks to have the same (close?) pattern as an 833 4 gear. Too bad it's only a 130T flywheel, which would create a problem for the tone ring, seeing as how Magnum V8's only used 143T flywheels.

Anyone have knowledge on this subject at all? A little fab work is ok, but whats the best option for putting a 4 speed in an otherwise stock '92+ mag truck?

Thanks.
