I was told today that I should not be using synthetic lube in my Dana rear. He said that synthetic does not have the ability to protect against the "shock" of a transbrake and heavy loading. Says conventional is much better. This is news to me as I have had synthetic in there for a number of years without issue!
Anyone else heard of this???
Thanks Mike

Been using synthetic in both cars with a Dana for years... Thousands of runs with a trans brake.
Never a problem. Pull the cover off and check at the beginning of the season every year. No problems at all.
