I'm just full of questions today

My ET Street S/S are a couple years old and coming up on 50 passes. Seems to me like they're starting to slow down in the 60 by a few hundredths... from maybe 1.68-1.70 to 1.74-1.76, even though they're still showing "legal" tread depth left for street use. Does this sound about right to others who drive on the same tires to the track as they race on? I suppose this could be the effect of repeated heat cycling from street & track usage.

Also, anyone have direct 60 ft / ET comparisons between ET Street S/S and ET Street R of comparable sizes? My S/S are 305/40R18 (28" tall), but I have a set of ET Street R 305/45R18 (29" tall, probably a tad lighter) on hand, too. Wondering if I should expect they'll perform the same, or if the "R" might be a tad quicker. Thx
