My advice is you have never been here pack for the frozen tundra and for the arid desert. We can have either or both that weekend. The wind in the spring and the sun can be a bit much for many. Lst year was cold and somewhat miserable. The race ended up being called for rain. Just sayin don't assume since its Vegas that it will be warm. It can be far from that.
