6PAX master Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 5,651 Detroit area	I joined about 10 or 12 years ago mainly for discounted auto insurance through The Hartford. It wasn't long and they raised their rates higher than what I was offered elsewhere so I left The Hartford and didn't renew my AARP membership. They've been hounding me ever since trying to get me to rejoin but it's not going to happen.
