The use of suede paint was to keep the glare down on the windshield. Anything shiny in that area would be horrible to look at in bright sunlight. Never understand why people paint dash frames the color of the car...

As for the 2 different colors of F8 Green on the Barracuda, it comes down to different painters. Amount of coverage, different batches, etc. All can make the color different.

I painted my dash frame last night, and am more than happy with how it turned out. I had the dash powder coated black, scuffed it down, and then fogged in 4 coats of Rustoleum Textured Black. OEM perfect? No, but it's close enough for me. I used the correct Suede for my Blue interior, in my Road Runner, and the difference is hard to tell. I'll have to get some pictures out in the sunlight to show the detail.
