Like so many other things, some people don't like what other's think are cool or interesting. We can like/unlike anything and no one has "hurt" feelings, or feels offeneded.

I'm in the other camp, I like "reasonably" lowered pickups. But not the ultra low slammed pickups that would stop on a pebble like your old school creeper rolling across the driveway (hate those dame things, rather just lay on cardboard sheets). And for the OP, I actually kinda like the painted steel wheels on that D150, IF the right tire sidewall/diamater is used and the tires are slightly tucked up the wheelwells. Maybe add some skinny chrome trim rings to bling up the wheels a bit?
