Who did you work for in Laos? whistling
I landed on dirt runway, to get some paint patch up on the cowl of my 1960 Piper Comanche when I first bought it in 1992
The paint guy told me he had two runways, one heading east and west and the other was north and south, four by their compass headings, he said longer north south one was 1200 ft. long, the bad part was over 300 ft. of it was in a sand wash shock I made it in and out a week later safely boogie
Sadly he died a little while later, a year later, from all the chemical used in painting whiney

I had a really hard time learning and getting use to making that airplane land at the proper air speed, it had long laminar flow wings and short landing gear whiney shruggy
The thing we do for fun and transportation realcrazy grin
