Yeah they have significantly more meat in the roof for porting and a slightly better short side (which is the Achilles heel of the standard BBM head) But like Dwayne just said.....these days there a lot easier ways to get there with the aluminum Aftermarket heads.

I always wondered If Mopar kept making them because they might be allowable as stock replacement heads for various class racing; otherwise I can't see the profitability in even making them anymore....unless they severely discounted them.

As I remember my ported 2.19's flowed within a few CFM of mildly worked over Edelbrocks...which at the time was the only thing other than Indy-1's and SR's that were readily available. I think the short-lived Bulldog heads came out about the same time these were ported.

they worked great on that 508 with a 252/258 Hydralic roller, motor made great power up to about 5800 with my ported Street Dominator and a 1000CFM 4150
