Though it can be doen as seen here. My American 200S were done the same way. 4 3/4 would help. 5" would be the best route. Headers were built by Ernie Miyomoto at Motofab. He does nice work. If this thing weighs anywhere close to mine it should be a runner. Best Machine dyno slip says 965. We'll see.

I do know my current 1/2" tapered lug nuts are very tight with the 5 x 4.5 pattern, the impact socket touches the center of the wheel when I'm removing them. Found some aluminum lug nuts that are smaller and would likely work at 5/8" but I don't know if I trust those on the street.
