If you were using a hardened cups under the springs and installing your shims under the cup, does the shim have to be hardened? I am having to shim over .200 so I was curious if I could sandwich a 1/2" flat washer under the cup and maybe sandwiched between two hardened shims so spring_cup_hardened shim_flat washer_hardened shim_head.
