I don't see a small hole in the tumbler. The bezel you are talking about is the one on the tumbler right? Not the surround nut that holds the complete switch in the dash, correct?
From what I've read, anything after '68 is different than '68 and older. In other words, anything '69 and newer are different.
For a 68 the hole is in the side of the ignition switch not the bezel. Here's a ic of the tumbler, you can see the brass button that needs to be pushed in
