I think the standard hood emblems did have 3 pins. The pins are shorter and are smaller diameter than Shaker emblems and one of the pins is in different location. It’s been awhile since I’ve held the two types next to each other so I could be wrong. I bought an emblem from a dealership in the mid 90s that is just like the one posted above
. The red coating o70-80sn the “sixpack” had the same weird translucent finish. I’ll see if I can find it and post a pic.
