Just got done watching T & L for the umpteenth time.

For some reason, this time I mentally thought of so many parallel / similarities with Vanishing Point.

What can be added to this list?

1) Both are “survivor/maverick/renegade” sole vehicle oriented movies

2) Both heavily filmed on west desert highways

3) Both have specific side scenes in remote desert

4) Both have desert style (dare I say mystical) music scores in part

5) Both have scenes filmed in Cisco, Utah

6 Both have a sexually suggestive incident on two lane desert highway

A. Homosexuals (VP)
B. Over the road trucker (T & L)

7) Both have single helicopter chasing single vehicle in desert.

8) Both end in vehicular suicide in desert

9) Elderly expressionless desert folk staring out of small business windows. Seems to convey a lot in both movies…I’m not sure what.

Any other perceptions?
